About Jana & Yigit Kulan
JANA

I'm Jana Kulan—former pro volleyball player turned coach, mentor, and straight-shooter. My journey has taken me from the courts of Slovakia to the University of Louisville, and across professional leagues in Japan, Turkey, China, and beyond. I've represented both Slovakia and Azerbaijan on the national stage, earning accolades like MVP and Best Scorer in top leagues. But titles don't define me—resilience, discipline, and a relentless drive do.

I don't believe in magic solutions. There's no wand to wave for instant success. What I offer is a blend of discipline, structure, and a touch of fun. If you're ready to commit, to push beyond excuses, and to embrace both the challenges and the joy of growth, then we're on the same page. My coaching isn't about following a rigid path; it's about combining my proven methods with your unique style to create something powerful.

At janacim.com, we're not just about volleyball; we're about building athletes who are resilient, adaptable, and ready to take control of their game and life. If you're tired of the usual and ready for real transformation, let's connect.
YIGIT

Hi, I’m YiÄŸit. Born in August 1983, Istanbul-raised, and shaped by a very particular type of parenting — the kind where your mom pulls you out of volleyball just as you’re falling in love with it and sends you off to chase “serious” things instead. (Spoiler: her master plan didn’t exactly pan out.)

I met volleyball when I was 13. I liked it immediately — mostly because it didn’t involve people tackling me or sweating directly on me. But my volleyball career was short-lived, thanks to that famous parental pivot. I drifted, traveled, dabbled in things until 2003, then studied professional cooking (yes, I can actually cook). That job took me around the world… and one day, while working in Baku, a tall, powerful volleyball player walked into my life. She didn’t just change it — she rerouted it entirely. Ten years later, I’m married to her. And thanks to her, I found my way back to volleyball — only this time, from a whole new angle.
Since 2014, I’ve been working in high-level professional volleyball as a performance and assistant coach. I support clubs and individual athletes — not just with technical strategy, but with structure, nutrition, and the mental side of showing up like a pro. Yes, I’m fun. No, that doesn’t mean I’m everyone’s best friend. I’m not here for chaos or shortcuts. I believe in discipline, clear roles, and healthy boundaries — the kind that create actual results. Working with me is straightforward: do the work, and you’ll grow. No magic. Just progress.

I’ve got the credentials (FIVB certified, NASM certified, plus more letters than Instagram “experts” have filters). I also have a very low tolerance for nonsense. So if you're serious about improving, and you're into sharp structure with a side of dry humor, let’s talk. If you're looking for someone to just agree with everything you say — probably not me.
But if you want to actually get better — let’s make it happen.
You bring the hustle. I’ll bring the plan.
