What if the mistake is the clue?
The same mistake happens again. The coach takes a long breath. The correction is ready before anyone has asked when the mistake appears.
Are you correcting the visible outcome before understanding what changes just before it happens?
Look for a contrast. Does the mistake appear late in practice, after a new instruction, or when someone is watching? When does it disappear?
A pattern does not prove a cause. But it gives you something more useful to investigate than “they keep getting it wrong”.
A mistake can be information before it becomes something to correct.
