Better coaching.
Stronger human connections.
I help athletes, coaches and teams look at what is getting in the way—and find a practical next step.
I’m Jana Kulan, a former professional volleyball player, coach and FIVB instructor. I bring experience from international volleyball and coach education to conversations about learning, communication and responsibility.
Let’s talk about working together
WORK WITH MEWhat could we do together?
01 / LEARN TOGETHERWorkshops & coach education
For clubs, federations, coaching groups and teams that want to turn ideas into everyday practice.
We can work on giving feedback, creating room for mistakes, sharing responsibility and understanding the people behind performance. I use discussion and practical exercises built around the challenges you bring.

02 / START A CONVERSATIONSpeaking & moderation
For conferences, coach education events and organisations looking for a perspective grounded in sport and human experience.
I speak about learning across cultures, communication under pressure and the transition from playing to leading. As a moderator, I help people explore different perspectives and ask the questions that move a discussion forward.

03 / FIND YOUR NEXT STEPIndividual consulting
For athletes, coaches and professionals facing a difficult conversation, a change of role or a challenge they want to understand more clearly.
I listen, ask questions and help you examine the situation. Together, we identify what you can influence and a practical action you can take.

HOW I WORK
I listen.
Then we work from there.
People have called me Mama Bird because they feel they can open up with me. I value that trust. I want people to be able to speak honestly, examine what is happening and take ownership of their next step.
My playing career and work in coaching have taken me through different teams, countries and cultures. Those experiences keep reminding me to understand the person and the environment before deciding what needs to change.
We start with your situation: who is involved, what is difficult and what you want to change. From there, we agree on the focus, format and scope of our work.
